Full time General English 20 hours per week
This intensive course is composed of morning and afternoon lessons. Your afternoon lessons will focus on developing your writing language skills and work on areas of interest to you. The range of afternoon classes offered will change from time to time to reflect the needs of students in the class. Specific areas may include:
IELTS Preparation; Communication Skills; Grammar and Writing; Academic Writing Skills ,Business English, Cambridge Exam Preparation
The minimum period of enrolment is of two weeks. Upon enrolling and paying 100% of the fees Phoenix will send a letter of confirmation that may be used to assist with the visa application. In case of visa refusal or withdrawal from the course a full refund will be given minus admin charge of £50.

IELTS exam preparation
This exam preparation course will prepare you for the IELTS (International English Language Testing Systems) test. This is the ideal test if you need to study or work where English is the language of communication. The Academic Version is intended for those who want to enrol in universities and other institutions of higher education and for professionals such as medical doctors and nurses who want to study or practise in an English-speaking country.
This course is a preparation course for the IELTS test and includes:
- Constructive, individual feedback from your teacher on your performance and suggestions of where and how to improve.
- Develop exam techniques to help you succeed in the IELTS test and it provides an overview of the format of the IELTS test.
Intended for adults aged 18 and over with an English language level of upper-intermediate and advanced who would like to take the IELTS test.
IELTS scores are recognised by universities and colleges, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies. British universities and other centres of education generally require IELTS level 6.0 or higher as evidence of language ability.
One to one video lessons
These lessons are for one hour and are flexible with regards times and days. They are run through Skype or Facebook Messenger. They are ideal for students who are planning a language trip to the UK and who need a confidence boost before arriving or for those students who are already taking part in lessons but would like clarification or extended practice with problems that occurred during a group session or for students who have completed a language course in the UK and returned to their home country and need to maintain their level.
These lessons can cover - specific grammar, conversation or speaking exam practice.
These lessons cover more detailed areas of the English language - particularly presentation skills, meetings and negotiation - they would look at the specific language as well as verbal and non-verbal communication techniques in order to become more effective and professional in the International Business world.
These lessons concentrate on bespoke fields in the world of business. They cover focused vocabulary, social English in a business or professional context and writing emails and CVs.
These lessons concentrate on the preparation needed to succeed in the Cambridge Exams - First Certificate, CAE and Proficiency and getting a sufficient score in IELTS. The lessons involve learning the appropriate vocabulary and grammar as well as outlining the key strategies that can be used to improve grades.
The music of English, stress patterns, rhythm and intonation is a separate process from learning the rest of the skills. We can help you improve your pronunciation and give you easily understandable conversational speech by identifying the problem and teaching you how to produce and incorporate those sounds into conversational speech.
