Full time General English 20 hours per week & Summer school 20 hours per week

This intensive course is composed of morning and afternoon lessons between 9.30 am and 3 pm. Your morning lessons aim to develop speaking & listening skills, while afternoon lessons focus on developing your writing language skills and work on areas of interest to you. The range of afternoon classes offered will change from time to time to reflect the needs of students in the class.

The time between 3pm and 4pm is for Individual Tuition which is paid additionally. The range of courses we offer is: IELTS, Business English, Communication, Accent reduction, Cambridge exam preparation.

The period between 4pm and 7pm is your free time to socialise, explore Yeovil or join our free after school activities of your choice such as: English with Yoga & Meditation, Art, Music, Business skills or Sport.

Dinner is normally at 7pm. After dinner we organise entertainment including Quiz nights, Disco, Games night, visits to the cinema & theatre, bowling, watching movies etc.

In order to join in in the after school activities, trips and excursions you are required to book the all-inclusive offer.

IELTS exam preparation

This exam preparation course will prepare you for the IELTS (International English Language Testing Systems) test. This is the ideal test if you need to study or work where English is the language of communication. The Academic Version is intended for those who want to enrol in universities and other institutions of higher education and for professionals such as medical doctors and nurses who want to study or practise in an English-speaking country.

This course is a preparation course for the IELTS test and includes:

  • Constructive, individual feedback from your teacher on your performance and suggestions of where and how to improve.
  • Develop exam techniques to help you succeed in the IELTS test and it provides an overview of the format of the IELTS test.

Intended for adults aged 18 and over with an English language level of upper-intermediate and advanced who would like to take the IELTS test.

IELTS scores are recognised by universities and colleges, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies. British universities and other centres of education generally require IELTS level 6.0 or higher as evidence of language ability.

One to one video lessons

These lessons are for one hour and are flexible with regards times and days. They are run through Skype or Facebook Messenger. They are ideal for students who are planning a language trip to the UK and who need a confidence boost before arriving or for those students who are already taking part in lessons but would like clarification or extended practice with problems that occurred during a group session or for students who have completed a language course in the UK and returned to their home country and need to maintain their level.

These lessons can cover - specific grammar, conversation or speaking exam practice.


English Communication

These lessons cover more detailed areas of the English language - particularly presentation skills, meetings and negotiation - they would look at the specific language as well as verbal and non-verbal communication techniques in order to become more effective and professional in the International Business world.


Business English

These lessons concentrate on bespoke fields in the world of business. They cover focused vocabulary, social English in a business or professional context and writing emails and CVs.


Exam Preparation

These lessons concentrate on the preparation needed to succeed in the Cambridge Exams - First Certificate, CAE and Proficiency and getting a sufficient score in IELTS. The lessons involve learning the appropriate vocabulary and grammar as well as outlining the key strategies that can be used to improve grades.


Accent reduction

The music of English, stress patterns, rhythm and intonation is a separate process from learning the rest of the skills. We can help you improve your pronunciation and give you easily understandable conversational speech by identifying the problem and teaching you how to produce and incorporate those sounds into conversational speech.
