Phoenix School of Languages was founded by Katie Cox.
“My mission is to create an outstanding language school in order to promote education and training in the local community by helping our clients communicate, whatever the language, whatever their needs.
I have 15 years experience in teaching ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and 3 years of course management.
I have a degree in Linguistics, Edexcel Level 5 BTEC Certificate in FE Teaching, Cambridge L4 CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and am a registered teacher with the Institute for Learning. I have undertaken continuous professional and personal development, including a Diploma in Computer Applications, ECDL, Key Skills Level 3, Microsoft Office Specialist and Level 5 Award in Developing Embedded Approaches in Literacy, Language and Numeracy for teachers in the Lifelong Learning sector.”
I am a qualified EFL teacher with over 25 years of experience. I work as a free-lance trainer and currently specialise in exam preparation and video lessons.
I believe in creating dynamic and interesting lessons so the students can benefit from a native speaker and learn in a creative way. I have a fundamental belief that if the student enjoys the learning experience they will learn effectively.
